Sparkles is our Whiskers of the Week!

Introducing Sparkles! This purrfect tabby beauty with gorgeous eyes is only about a year old, just out of kittenhood. Sparkles was picked up as a stray on May 3, was not microchipped, and has gone unclaimed at Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center. Sparkles is what we call a “reasons” cat. (Translation if you haven’t heard the term before: Sparkles is a little shy on first meeting – she likes to take her time making up her mind about humans, and we trust she has reasons for that.) Sparkles will appreciate being confined to a small quiet room for at least the first few days in her forever home, until she feels safe and ready to explore. Sparkles is hanging out in the community room but she is a little hissy with her roommates (“reasons”), so she may prefer to be your only feline. Sparkles will go home with you spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated appropriate to age. She is negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV).
