WHISKERS OF THE WEEK

Week of JUne 2, 2024 - Willow

Willow is our Whiskers of the Week!

Willow is not your average Siamese mix - she is a tortie point Siamese. A tortie point Siamese has flecked or mottled points instead of solid ones, resembling the shell of a tortoise. There are seven different varieties of tortie point Siamese cat, according to UK's Cat Fancy. Willow is a caramel tortie point. She is about two years old and arrived at SCAC on May 23 via owner surrender through no fault of Willow's. This beauty is taking some time to adjust to the shelter environment, which unfortunately can be quite scary. She may require some extra patience and TLC as she settles into her true forever home. Willow previously lived in a home with another cat, so we would expect her to be okay with a feline sibling, as long as introductions are handled appropriately. She will go home with you spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated appropriate to age. Willow is negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). She is waiting for you at Sangamon County Animal Control in Springfield, IL.
