Don’t Cat-Nap the Kittens!

Remember, momma is the best at taking care of her kittens. If you find a litter of stray kittens, LEAVE THEM ALONE! Their mom offers them the BEST chance of survival!

• They need their mother’s milk; it’s the best food for them!

• Mom is likely getting food, in the process of relocating them (or she’s hiding from you!!!).

• Keep a distance from the litter!

• Mom won’t return until you leave! You’re a threat!

• It may take several hours for mom to return.

• Remove kittens only if in imminent, grave danger!

• Otherwise, leave them alone with mom until weaned.

• Contact a rescue for help/advice.
